40 candidates pass scrutiny for eight Gangtok district constituencies

Gangtok: The scrutiny of nominations for the assembly constituencies in Gangtok district took place at the office of the returning officers under the supervision of Jitendra Kumar, general observer, Gangtok district.

Scrutiny of nominations for constituencies in Gangtok district began at 11 am and continued thereafter.
The officers appointed to scrutinize the nomination papers are Rohan Agawane Returning Officer for 26- Arithang Assembly Constituency and 27- Gangtok Assembly Constituency, 25- Upper Tadong Assembly Constituency and 16- Tumen Lingi Constituency. The returning officer for the area is Milan Rai, GL Meena is the returning officer. 23- For Shiyari Assembly Constituency and 28- Roshan Subba Returning Officer for Upper Burtuk Assembly Constituency, 24- Martam – Returning Officer for Rumtek Constituency and 17- Suresh Rai Returning Officer for Khamdong Singtam Constituency.

The returning officers after examining all the nomination papers considered them valid.
Tomorrow, March 29, 2024, from 11:00 am onwards, separate scrutiny will be conducted for 01- Sikkim Parliamentary Constituency and 32- Sangha Assembly Constituency.
