39 elephants created havoc again, destroyed the paddy crop
Korba. 39 elephants roaming in the Kudmura range of Korba forest division have destroyed the paddy crops of 23 farmers within 7 days. Due to this the villagers are suffering huge losses. Due to this there is huge anger among the villagers. The villagers are forced to wake up.
The Forest Department team is on alert after the continuous knocking of elephants. It is being told that 39 elephants in Kudmura range have damaged the paddy crop of 10 farmers in Labed and Baigamar on Thursday night. The elephant has been roaming around in this forest for the last several days. According to the villagers, elephants have developed the habit of eating paddy and often come to this area to eat paddy. Because of this the villagers do not run away from the elephants.
Villagers say that elephants become angry whenever they are tampered with and cause even more harm. The villagers try to inform the forest department immediately. After this, the forest department reaches the spot and rescues the elephants and drives them towards the forest.
