30 kg gold ornaments looted by armed robbers in Odisha’s Sambalpur

Sambalpur: Throwing challenge to Police, robbers on Friday looted approximately 30 kgs of gold ornaments from the office of a Finance Company in Sambalpur of Odisha. The robbery reportedly took place today morning in the Finance office situated at Ainthapali of Sambalpur city.

As per reports, a few masked miscreants entered the Manapuram branch in Budharaja area of Sambalpur town today. They threatened the employees inside by showing guns and looted about 30 kgs of gold and fled the scene.

Robbers looted at least gold ornaments weighing 30 kg from the Finance office in broad daylight. They actually looted a bag that was full of the said gold ornaments at gunpoint. The robbers were reportedly armed.

After getting information, police personnel from Ainthapali police station reached the spot and are initiated investigation. Police are conducting searches at various places to arrest the looters. However, when this report was written, by then no accused or the stolen gold ornaments had been found.
