3 students arrested for growing and selling marijuana at home

Karnataka | Police arrested three students from Tamil Nadu and Kerala from Shivamogga. In fact, the students were doing business of ganja at a rented house for the last three and a half months.

Let us tell you that three students were growing and selling hemp through hi-tech farming at their rented house in Shivamogga, Karnataka. On being informed, the Karnataka Police caught one of the accused, a student, Vighnaraj (28 years) red-handed while growing ganja at his rented house in Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu. Shivamogga Superintendent of Police GK Mithun Kumar said that ‘the police got information that the accused were involved in this business for the last three and a half months’.

According to the Karnataka Police, one of the accused, Vighnaraj, is a student of a private medical college.

According to the information, the Karnataka Police arrested two other accused Vinod Kumar, aged 27 years, living in Idukki, Kerala, and Pandidorai (27 years), living in Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu, during the raid.

In this case, the SP said that ‘during the raid, the police seized 227 grams of hemp, 1.53 kg of raw hemp, 10 grams of charas, a small bottle containing hemp seeds, 3 syringes of hemp oil and hemp for making powder from the accused. Recovered two used cans.

At the same time, the police told about the whole incident that from their possession one electronic weighing machine, one exit fan, six table fans, two stabilizers, three LED lights, rolling paper, two hookah pipes, 4 hookah caps and hemp stalks. And 19 thousand rupees cash was also recovered. Let us tell you that a case has been registered at Shivamogga Rural Police Station under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The police officer further said that Vighnaraj was found growing ganja in pots at his rented house. He was growing ganja in pots by creating an artificial environment inside the house without being noticed by the landlord or anyone else. He sold ganja to college students. The police officer said that ‘further investigation is underway to see if others are also involved.’
