3 smugglers smuggling ganja worth lakhs arrested

Kondagaon. Police have arrested 3 interstate ganja smugglers in Kondagaon. A total of 24 packets of illegal drug weighing 44.800 kg have been seized from ganja smugglers. The value of the seized ganja is said to be Rs 4 lakh 40 thousand. According to the information, all three ganja smugglers are from Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Delhi. The accused who transport ganja include Sonu Kushwaha (24 years) of Kasganj district, Uttar Pradesh, Rahul Dev Jatav (35 years) of New Delhi and Mohit Gupta (32 years) of Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand.Actually, the informer informed that on Sunday, March 10, some people were going to go from Malkangiri towards Raipur via Jagdalpur Kondagaon by hiding ganja illegally in a white colored Dezire car number UK 07 V 3803. Illegal drugs wrapped in brown cello tape were hidden in the trunk of the car.

Acting on the information of the informer, police investigated and caught the accused illegally transporting 24 packets weighing 44.800 kg and worth Rs 4,40,000. Three mobile phones and a Desire car were seized from the accused. Action was taken against the accused under NDPS ACT.
