Malkangiri/Sukma: In a major success to the security forces, as many as three maoists have been killed in an encounter in Odisha-Chattisgarh border on Thursday.
According to reports, there is an ongoing encounter between security forces and Naxals in Sukma of Chhattisgarh. The Deputy CM Vijay Sharma has said that, “Security forces have had success in their operations in Sukma. Today, the bodies of three Naxals have been recovered from there. Search operation is continuing there.”
“The encounter is underway between security forces and Naxals in the forest at Sukma-Bijapur border”, said the SP Sukma Kiran Chavan.
The operation is still underway. Further deatiled reports awaited in this matter. In a tragic incident on Monday, as many as eight jawans and one driver has died in an IED blast in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh, said reliable reports in this regard.
According to reports, a total of nine people have been killed out of them eight Dantewada DRG jawans and one driver, lost their lives after their vehicle was blown up by naxals through an IED blast, in Bijapur.
They were returning after a joint operation of Dantewada, Narayanpur and Bijapur, informed the IG of Bastar.
