3 arrested including a cattle broker, police rescued 10 cows

Pendra. Chhattisgarh Police has achieved a big success in the cattle smuggling case. Police has busted the interstate cattle smuggling gang and arrested the main kingpin Lakhan Sahu and two other accused. It is alleged that this gang is continuously active on the border of UP and MP. The police team raided Bartola Ratga village of Marwahi police station area on July 30. During this, Daulat Rathore and his associate Man Rakhan Singh Maravi were arrested. Both are residents of village Kanchandih of Kotmikala outpost. A car and 11 cattle have been recovered from the possession of the accused. Investigation revealed that accused Daulat Rathore was also found involved in crimes related to cattle smuggling in Pendra and Anuppur police stations in the past.

On Friday, the police also arrested Lakhan Sahu, the mastermind of the interstate cattle smuggling gang. Investigation revealed that Lakhan Sahu has also been accused in cases related to cattle smuggling and attempted murder. During interrogation, Lakhan Sahu has given information about other smugglers and networks active in the border areas of Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi (Chhattisgarh) and Anuppur (Madhya Pradesh), on the basis of which the police is engaged in further action.
