252 crores paid to farmers
Raigarh. After the purchase of paddy in the district under Kharif Marketing Year 2024-25, now the paddy lifting has started gaining momentum. The district administration is getting the paddy lifted from the millers quickly. In the last two days, more than 23 thousand metric tonnes of DO paddy has been cut by the millers for lifting. At the same time, in these two days, 4207 metric tonnes of paddy has also been lifted by the millers from the procurement centers.
According to the information received from DMO Shailo Netam, till now 28 thousand 472 MT DO has been cut by the millers, out of which 6179 MT paddy has been lifted. At the same time, TO of 10 thousand 681 MT has been issued. Out of which 4195 MT has been lifted from the committees. Thus, a total of 10375 MT paddy has been lifted from the committees. In Raigarh district, 85 thousand 122 farmers are registered for paddy sale. So far, 1 lakh 24 thousand 522 MT of paddy has been purchased in 105 paddy procurement centers.
Paddy procurement is going on smoothly in the district. For the convenience of farmers for paddy procurement, the district administration has made proper arrangements in the committees as well as arrangements like issuing online tokens, arrangement of gunny bags, weighing with electronic machines. After paddy procurement in the procurement centers, immediate payment is also being issued to the farmers.
After paddy procurement, its payment is also being made immediately to the farmers. In lieu of the purchase made so far, 252 crore 43 lakh has been paid to the farmers. Which is 89 percent of the total purchase made so far. For the remaining payment, the information has been updated in the software and sent to the bank. Which will be released soon.
