24 people fall ill in Indore district due to contaminated drinking water

Bhopal: 24 people fell ill due to contaminated drinking water. Among them were children. They suffered from jaundice after drinking contaminated water. They are undergoing treatment in hospitals. Recently, about 24 people, including children, fell ill after drinking contaminated water in the Mhow area of that district. They suffered from jaundice.
Meanwhile, on Thursday night, cases of jaundice came to light in Patti Bazaar and Chander Marg areas. Many people, including children, fell ill. They are undergoing treatment at a government hospital. The situation is more worrying in the Moti Mahal area. School children are unable to attend classes due to illness. They could not write important exams. Alena, who is studying in class 12, could not attend the pre-board exams due to illness.
On the other hand, the authorities have been alerted after locals fell ill due to contaminated drinking water in the Mhow area. Indore District Collector Shivam Verma reached the Mhow area on Thursday night and inspected the situation. Locals complained that the drinking water was contaminated. On the orders of the Chief Medical and Health Officer, health officials reached the Mhow area on Friday morning. A medical team has also arrived from Indore. Health tests are being conducted on the locals.
