21 thousand challan issued to stunt people in jeep

Surguja. In Surguja district, it became costly for the youth to perform stunts with bullets and open jeeps at Kalakendra Maidan. Police identified both the vehicles and confiscated them. A challan of Rs 21 thousand has been issued against him. The vehicles are being checked continuously and challan action is being taken. According to the information, on February 24, 2024, some youths were doing stunts with bullets, open jeeps and other vehicles at Kalakendra ground located in front of the Collectorate and SP office. Along with performing stunts, the youth were also bursting firecrackers. Someone made a video of it and made it viral. Police identified the vehicles and confiscated them.

A fine of Rs 8500 has been imposed on Rajesh Yadav and Rs 12500 on Lavkesh Kushwaha. After challan and court process, a total summon fee of Rs 21000 was collected from both the vehicles. Surguja Police is continuously taking strict action by running a campaign against the drivers who disobey the traffic rules. Action was taken against three passenger vehicle drivers. The traffic police has registered 80 cases and issued a challan of Rs 40 thousand. The traffic police took action in 37 cases of red light crossing and illegal parking and issued a challan of Rs 21 thousand. Surguja SP Vijay Aggarwal said that under the road safety campaign, police will take continuous action against drivers who disobey traffic rules.
