2 women and 4 men arrested in Excise Department raid, Mahua seized

Korba. While taking action in the illegal liquor case in the district, the Excise Department has arrested five people including two women. At the behest of the accused, 66 liters of raw liquor was seized. Apart from this, 600 kg Mahua Lahan was recovered, which was kept hidden for making liquor. In this case, action has been taken under the Excise Act and the accused have been sent to jail.

According to the information, to stop the illegal trade of drugs including liquor, a joint team of Excise reached Ward No. 10 Dhanwaipur of Katghora police station. Where an Excise jawan posed as a customer and purchased liquor. The people involved in this illegal business could not identify the soldier. As soon as he handed over the liquor, the entire team raided the spot.

The team caught Chamar Rai, Phoolsingh Dhanuhar, Dilharan and Seema Bai, who were manufacturing and selling liquor. Similarly, Ramcharan and Neera Bai, residents of village Pondi, were caught by the team. At his behest, 66 liters of raw liquor was seized, while 600 liters of Mahua Lahan was recovered.
