2 smugglers smuggling liquor on bike arrested

Raipur. Had left for village Gullu Ranisagar on campaign action. Information was received from the informer that two persons were coming towards Ranisagar illegally carrying liquor in motorcycle Honda Shine number CG04PR4765. On the information, Hamrah along with staff and witnesses reached village Ranisagar near Tiraha. After reaching the blockade, while checking the motorcycle coming towards village Ranisagar, as told by the informer, two persons came in the motorcycle number cg04 pr 4765, when they stopped and checked, the person sitting behind had illegally kept liquor in a white plastic bag.

On asking the name and address of the motorcycle driver, Dageshwar Sahu, father Nandkumar Sahu, age 22 years, village Bhansoj police station Arang and on asking the name of the person sitting with illegal liquor, Tower father Bhulan Dhritalhare, age 34 years, a resident of Bhansoj police station Arang, told that the plastic bag was from the joint possession of the accused. 40 pav of country liquor, masala liquor worth Rs 4400 and motorcycle Honda Shine number CG04 PR 4765 were seized and taken into custody by the police. The act of the accused was found to be a crime under Section 34(2) of the Excise Act and duly arrested on 18 April 2024. 15 Has been sent to the Honorable Court in judicial custody for days! The entire operation has been done by head constable 1374 Lalji Verma and constable Horilal Sonkar under the guidance of police station in-charge Satyendra Singh Shyam.
