2 Naxalites killed in Sukma encounter, see picture

Bastar. Sundarraj P. Inspector General of Police, Bastar Range informed that Bastar Police and DRG/Bastar Fighters/STF/CAF/Central Armed Police Forces deployed in the area are continuously working with full dedication without caring for their lives to protect democracy and maintain peace in the area. In the coming days, our resolve and efforts in this direction will become even stronger. The Maoists killed in the Gundarajgudem encounter were identified as female Maoist Sodi Linge ACM active in Pamed Area Committee and male Maoist Podiyam Hadma ACM cadre. The killed Maoists include hardcore Maoists with a declared reward of Rs 10 lakh. Superintendent of Police Sukma Kiran Chavan informed that on 28.02.2025, in an anti-naxal search operation, a joint party of District Sukma DRG and 203 CoBRA left for Gundarajgudem area on the intelligence of the presence of top Maoists. During the operation, on 01.03.2025 at around 09:00 am

An encounter started between Sukma DRG team and armed Maoists in the middle of the jungle mountain of Gundarajgudem, which continued intermittently. After the end of the encounter, on search by all the teams, the bodies of 02 (01 woman, 01 man) hardcore Maoists were recovered along with weapons.

Name and designation of Naxalites killed in the encounter:-

1. Sodi Linge ACM (Area Padiyaro Pollo President) resident of West Bastar Bijapur area, reward of Rs. 05 lakh.
2. Podiyam Hadma ACM (Jantana Sarkar President) resident of West Bastar Bijapur, reward 5 lakhs.

1. 01 BGL launcher.
2. 01 12 bore gun.
3. 05 BGL cells.
4. 05 live rounds of 12 bore rifle.
5. 01 wireless set.
6. 04 BGL coats.
