2 miscreants arrested from Itwari Bazar and Bombay Garage in Dhamtari city

Dhamtari: Police is continuously taking legal action against anti-social elements and knife attackers to curb them. In this connection, City Kotwali and Cyber ​​Team took action under Arms Act against two knife attack accused.

First case

On receiving information that a person carrying a sharp iron butt knife in his hand was threatening people in public places in Itwari Bazar Dhamtari, the police team immediately cordoned off the area and caught the person and recovered a sharp butt knife from him. On asking the name and address of the person, he told his name as Yogesh Dhruv, son of late Naresh Dhruv, age 22 years, resident of Makeshwar Ward Dhamtari, a sharp butt knife was found with him. An iron metal sharp butt knife weapon was seized from the possession of the accused in front of witnesses and the accused Yogesh Dhruv was duly arrested and legal action was taken as he had committed the main crime and sufficient evidence was found.

Second case

On receiving information that a person is threatening people passing by in a public place behind Bombay Garage by waving a sharp iron butt knife in his hand in the air, the police immediately reached the place mentioned by the informer and found in front of witnesses that a person of the description described was threatening people passing by by waving a sharp iron butt knife in the air in his hand. The police and witnesses surrounded the person and caught him and recovered a sharp butt knife from him. On asking the name and address of the said person, he told his name as Gaurav Manikpuri, a resident of Station Para Dhamtari. On finding a sharp iron butt knife in his possession, an iron butt knife was seized from the possession of the accused in front of witnesses. Both the accused Gaurav Manikpuri and Yogesh Dhruv have committed the crime and due to sufficient evidence, both the accused have been duly arrested in Police Station City Kotwali Dhamtari and a crime has been registered against them under Crime No. 316,317/24 Section: 25, 27 Arms Act and sent on judicial remand.
