2 Mining Officials Detained By Sand Mafia In Mayurbhanj

Udala: Two mining officials was detained by sand mafia at Badabisol Chhak under Kaptipada police limits of Mayurbhanj district on Saturday morning.

According to reports, Mining officials i.e Mayurbhanj Deputy director and mining officer conducted a surprise raid under Kaptipada area and seized three sand-laden tractors and fined them a huge amount.

After fining them, the mining officials were heading to another place, when the sand mafia detained them at Badabisol Chhaka for two hours.

On being informed about the incident, the Kaptipada police station officials reached the spot to rescue to the officers, but in vain.
