2 including on-duty Police DSP killed in Odisha’s Jajpur district

Jajpur: In a shocking incident, as many as two persons were killed including an on-duty Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) in a road accident in Jajpur district of Odisha on Sunday. The accident took place near the Chandapur chhaka under Panikoili Police Station limits in Jajpur road area on Sunday.

The deceased Police DSP has been identified as Balaram Nayak of Ghatagan area in Keonjhar district. He was posted in Balasore district. The identity of the other deceased person is yet to be ascertained.

As per reports he was in Jajpur. Recently, he had been posted as the SDPO of Jagatsinghpur.

As per reports, the Police DSP and another person were coming in a car when a speeding truck hit their car. Accordingly, the vehicle overturned and the two persons who were onboard the car, were killed.

Following the accident, the driver of the truck has fled from the scene.
