2 dead bodies were found in a well, 2 accused arrested within 12 hours

In the case of the bodies of a woman and an eight-year-old boy found in a well in village Khamhariya under Amleswar police station area of the district, the police have solved the mystery of blind murder within 12 hours. This heart-wrenching incident of murder was carried out by the deceased’s lover and her cousin. The police have arrested both the accused.
Deception in love affair became the reason for murder
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Sunita Chaturvedi alias Pallavi (age 30-35 years) and her eight-year-old son. Sunita had met Chhatrapal Singaur, who lives in Raipur, through Instagram, which later turned into a love affair. Chhatrapal kept on giving false promises of marriage at first, but one and a half months ago he married another woman. Despite this, Sunita started pressuring him to live with her son. Upset by the growing tension, Chhatrapal took his cousin Shubham Singaur into confidence and hatched a conspiracy to eliminate Sunita and her son. On June 18, 2025, Chhatrapal brought Sunita and her son from Raipur on his electric scooter to Khamhariya village, where Shubham was already waiting for him.
Murdered by strangulation, threw the body in a sack
The two brothers together strangled Sunita and her son to death in the field and wrapped the bodies in different saris and stuffed them in a sack. They were then thrown into two different wells — the woman’s body was thrown in Bhagwandas Mahilang’s orchard and the child’s body was thrown in Radhelal Gaikwad’s orchard. After the bodies were found on June 22, a case was registered in Amleswar police station and investigation was started immediately. The SIT team formed on the instructions of SSP Durg started collecting clues. Chhatrapal Singaur’s role was found suspicious, after which he confessed to the murder during intensive interrogation.
