2 College students killed in Odisha’s Cuttack district
Athagarh: In a tragic incident as many as two minor college students were killed in a road accident in Cuttack district of Odisha on Wednesday. The accident took place on the Athagah-Mundali road. A pick up van hit them.
The deceased college students have been identified as Rishi Das (16) and Somu Behera (16) of Kandarpur.
As per reports, the two friends were talking on the road side on Wednesday when a speeding pick up van lost balance and hit them. As a result the two students sustained critical injury.
The locals rescued them and rushed to the Athagarh hospital. There, the doctors declared one of the injured persons dead. Meanwhile, as health condition deteriorated, the other critically injured youth had been shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. However, he also succumbed to the injury while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
A pal of gloom has descended in the area following the sad demise of the two young students.
