2 bookies involved in IPL betting arrested in Kota

Raipur. On which, under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Saraswati Nagar police station went to the said place and raided the house by the informer. During the raid, two persons were found present in the terrace of the house, who during interrogation revealed their names to be Ashu Sharma and Mukesh Rao, residents of Saraswati Nagar, Raipur. When the team members checked the laptop and mobile phone kept with them, they were found to be conducting online betting. On which both the accused were arrested and 01 no. of laptop and 06 no. of mobile phone Jumla worth about Rs. 55,000/- were seized from their possession. Crime number 95/24 Section 4(a) Gambling Act and Chhattisgarh was registered against the accused in police station Saraswati Nagar. . Action was taken against the accused under Section 06 and 07 of the Gambling Prohibition Act 2022.
