2 bookies arrested for betting money on IPL final match

Raigarh. On the instructions of Senior Superintendent of Police Sadanand Kumar yesterday under the leadership of City Superintendent of Police Abhinav Upadhyay Kotwali police station in-charge Shanip Ratre, by raiding the information of online cricket betting in two posh areas of the city, caught 02 accused playing cricket betting. The hand is caught. Tomorrow on 29/05/2023 at around 7:00 pm in front of Ramnivas Talkies, Kotwali police arrested Priyanshu alias Anshu Agarwal father Kamal Kumar Agarwal age 26 years resident of Rukmani Vihar in front of Atal Awas Raigarh for feeding online cricket on mobile WhatsApp app. Through the link, people were found taking money from people and feeding them speculation. ₹ 3,000 cash and a Vivo V11 company mobile have been seized from the accused Priyanshu alias Anshu Agarwal.

On the other hand, the Kotwali police has arrested Akash Garg father Ghanshyam Garg, age 24, resident of Agrasen Chowk Raigarh, accused in speculative raid proceedings in Agrashan Chowk street. A link of online cricket betting was found on the WhatsApp chatting on the mobile of the accused, in which online cricket betting and money transactions were done. ₹ 4,000 cash and touch screen mobile of Vivo company have been seized from the accused. In police station Kotwali, both the accused have been arrested and sent on judicial remand after taking action against them separately under Section 7 Chhattisgarh Gambling Prohibition Act. Station in-charge Shanip Ratre, assistant sub-inspector Dilip Kumar Behera, head constable Heman Patre and constable Jagmohan Ogre have played a special role in the proceedings of Kotwali police.
