172 students fall ill after consuming mid-day meal in Jharsuguda

Jharsuguda: As many as 172 students of UGME school in Jamera of Jharsuguda district fell ill after consuming mid-day meal on Saturday.

The students complained that they developed stomache after having mid-day meal at around 9.30 am in school.

Some students started vomiting and showed symptoms of chest pain. The ailing students were immediately admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in Jharsuguda for medical aid.

The students are undergoing treatment at the hospital and their condition is stated to be stable.
