13 feet long king cobra spotted in Korba

Bilaspur. Bilaspur. On the same day as the Masturi shooting, a shocking conspiracy was uncovered in the Sirgitti area of Bilaspur. Intending to frame three workers employed at Pragati Defence Company, someone threw a pistol on the roof of their rented house, sending shockwaves throughout the area. The incident reportedly occurred on the night of October 28th. Nitin Verma, Sachin Sharma, and Indrajit Singh, residents of Kanpur, rent a house belonging to Shivkumar Gupta in Ward No. 10 of the Sirgitti police station area. All three work at Pragati Defence Private Limited. Around 12:00 a.m., the three workers had just returned from work when two drunk men, Ajay and Narayan Awasthi, a history-sheeter, confronted them in a field near their house on a scooter. After an altercation, the two men threatened, “Watch out… we’ll implicate you in a case of hashish and weapons.” A short while later, the sound of something falling on the roof was heard. When the landlady went to check, they found a pistol-like weapon lying there. The workers were about to call 112 when Ajay and Narayan arrived at the scene with two policemen.

Interrogation at Police Station Overnight, Mobile Phones Confiscated
The police detained the three workers without any preliminary investigation and took them to Sirgitti Police Station for questioning overnight. It is alleged that the police kept the workers sitting in their undergarments overnight and confiscated their mobile phones. In the morning, when the company owner, Naman Agarwal, arrived at the police station, the investigation took a different turn. The statements of the landlord and the accused, Ajay, were recorded in his presence. Ajay confessed to the police that he had thrown the pistol from the roof at Narayan Awasthi’s behest. Following this statement, the workers were released from the police station.

Serious Allegations Against the Police
After being released, the three workers leveled serious allegations against the police. They said, “If the company owner had not arrived on time, we would have been sent to jail. The situation here is worse than in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The collusion between criminals and the police is clearly visible.” The victimized workers claim that they were threatened with false charges and jailed. According to them, this entire incident was part of a pre-planned conspiracy.

Police investigation continues, but many questions remain.
Sirgitti Police Station in-charge Kishore Kewat stated, “Interrogation of both parties is ongoing. Conclusions will be drawn only after the investigation is complete.” Meanwhile, ASP Rajendra Jaiswal stated, “The incident is being investigated. Strict action will be taken against the culprits.” However, four days after the incident, Narayan Awasthi remains absconding and has not been arrested. Police have also been unable to clarify where the pistol came from or who it belongs to.
Indications of Collusion Between Criminals and Police
Local sources say that Narayan Awasthi is a history-sheeter in the area, with numerous criminal cases registered against him. Despite this, he is said to have close ties with the police. The entire incident raises suspicions that an attempt was made to frame three innocent workers through collusion between criminals and the police. If the company owners had not intervened in time, a false case could have been filed against the workers.
Fear and Anger Among Workers
Following the incident, there is an atmosphere of fear and anger among local workers and company employees. He has demanded from the district administration that an impartial investigation be conducted into the entire incident and departmental action be taken against the guilty policemen. This incident has raised serious questions about the functioning of the Sirgitti police station and the impartiality of the police. The investigation is currently ongoing, but it is clear that this was not simply a case of a pistol being found, but a conspiracy-fueled attempt to frame him, which was exposed in time.
