1265 bags of illegal paddy seized from Kochia’s house

Hasamund. Following the instructions of Collector Vinay Kumar Langeh, action was taken in village Bhurkoni, under the Pithora tehsil, to monitor illegal paddy storage and transportation. Based on information received, a joint team comprising Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) Pithora Bajrang Agarwal, Naib Tehsildar, and Halka Patwari conducted a surprise inspection at Dinesh Agarwal’s home.

During the inspection, approximately 3,000 sacks of paddy were found stored. Upon questioning, Dinesh Agarwal presented a trade sheet from the Agricultural Produce Market for 1,735 sacks of paddy, but no valid documents were provided for the remaining 1,265 sacks.

The Revenue Department team seized 1,265 sacks of paddy as per regulations and directed the market secretary to take necessary action under the Market Act. The Collector has directed continued action against illegal purchase, sale, and storage of paddy in the district.
