12 people injured in mad dog attack, atmosphere of panic in the colony

Korba. In the last 24 hours, more than 10-12 people were bitten by dogs in Gevra Colony under Deepka Municipality area. People told that the dog has gone mad and is running and biting people. After dog bite, some people are getting treatment in government hospital and some departmental hospital.

People have demanded from the municipal administration to make a dog policy in Deepka so that their number does not increase. Their numbers can be prevented from increasing by sterilization and anti-rabies vaccination of dogs. Stray dogs are everywhere in Pragati Nagar Colony, Deepka Basti, Azad Chowk, but after going mad, they bite anyone as their prey.

In fact, since few months the number of stray dogs has increased rapidly in Deepka Municipality area. These stray dogs are making people their prey every day. Sanjay Singh, a resident of Urja Nagar Gevra, told that the stray dog had entered the shop to bite him, which he killed and drove away. A mad stray dog bit two children and barely missed the victim’s leg.
