114 sacks of illegal paddy seized from two pickup trucks being brought from Odisha

Raigarh. In an action to stop the illegal import of paddy, Pusaur police intercepted two pickup vehicles being brought from Odisha to Chhattisgarh, confiscating a total of 114 sacks of illegal paddy. On the instructions of Collector Mayank Chaturvedi and Superintendent of Police Divyang Patel, a joint team of administration and police is continuously monitoring the border areas. Informants have been activated and instructions have been given to keep a special eye on suspicious vehicles at the border.
In this sequence, two important operations were carried out yesterday under the leadership of Pusaur Police Station in-charge Inspector Ramkinkar Yadav. In the first operation, a white pickup vehicle number CG 13 AR 4467 belonging to driver Aditya Sagar, son of Sharad Sagar (age 21, resident of Bade Hardi, Pusaur Police Station) was stopped near the Lara barrier, and 50 sacks of paddy were found loaded in it. In the second operation, 64 sacks of paddy were recovered from the pickup number CG 06 GU 8036 belonging to driver Sudam Sahu, son of Bharat Sahu (31 years old, resident of Bhainatora, Amabhauna police station, Bargarh district, Odisha) near the Pusaur bus stand. Both drivers did not have any documents related to the paddy transportation, and it was suspected that the paddy was being transported illegally for sale in the agricultural markets of Chhattisgarh.
Pusaur police have taken action against both drivers under FIR No. 15/2025 and 16/2025, respectively, under Section 106 of the BNSS. In this operation, conducted under the leadership of Station House Officer Ramkinkar Yadav, Sub-Inspector Kundan Lal Gaur, Assistant Sub-Inspector Manmohan Bairagi, Umashankar Nayak, and Constable 142 Navdha Prasad Maina, posted at Dial-112, played an important role.
