11 lakhs crossed: The safe stolen from the liquor shop was found, not even a single coin was found

Bhilai. In the case of theft from Nayapara liquor shop in Durg a few days ago, the police found the safe in which lakhs of rupees were kept. The police brought the safe to the police station with the help of JCB. After this, when it was opened with the help of a gas cutter, it was found empty. There was not a single rupee inside it.

Actually, 9 days ago on July 26, at 2:30 in the night, four masked accused entered the liquor shop located in Nayapara to steal. The CCTV found from the shop clearly showed that the thieves stole 11 lakh rupees from the cash box. The Durg Kotwali police had registered a case and were engaged in tracking down the accused. Meanwhile, on Saturday, they came to know that the safe was lying in the field at some distance from the liquor shop. On receiving the information, top police officials reached the spot. They called a JCB and got the safe lifted from the field and brought it to the police station. A gas cutter was called here. After this, he cut the door of the safe and opened it, it was empty. Seeing the empty safe, the officers were also surprised that how lakhs of rupees were stolen from a closed safe.

ASP Durg Abhishek Jha said that when the safe was brought to the police station, it was found that the thieves had bent the door of the safe with the help of a shovel. It is suspected that they had taken out the money kept inside from that gap. After this, they left the safe and ran away from there.
