10 lakh stolen from liquor shop, thieves entered by breaking the shutter and stole it from the locker
Kanker. Last night, unknown thieves broke into the door of the government liquor shop of the district headquarters and stole about Rs 11 lakh in cash. As soon as information about the matter was received, the police team reached the spot with the dog squad and started investigating the matter.
The incident is said to have happened late at night around 3 o’clock. In the CCTV footage installed outside the shop, some suspicious people are seen near the shop, which is also being investigated by the police. Many suspicious things have also come to light during the investigation, the key of the locker in which the liquor sale money was kept was stuck in the locker itself.
The daily sales amount has to be deposited in the police station after the shop is closed, but yesterday this amount was left in the shop itself. According to the information, last night, unknown people broke into the door of the government liquor shop and ran away with the money kept in the locker including Rs 10 lakh 59 thousand and also the money kept in the counters of both domestic and foreign shops.
