1 crore ransom, two more accused arrested in interior designer kidnap case
Raipur. Two absconding inter-state kidnappers have been arrested for the kidnapping incident from DD Nagar police station area. According to the police, Upendra Saav lodged a report in police station DD Nagar that he is a resident of village Barnaidar police station Sankara district Mahasamund and currently lives in Raipur behind Siddharth Ashtkar’s hostel Danganiya Bazar and his interior is Paradise Wallpaper Shop Danganiya. In working mode for about 05 months. On 02.06.2023 at around 08.25 pm, the shop owner Siddharth Ashatkar had gone home and the applicant was closing the shop, when two customers came to the shop to see the wallpaper and asked the shop owner Siddharth Ashatkar, the applicant told that he had gone home. Then the customer called Siddharth Ashatkar on the phone, on which he came to the shop and showed the wallpaper to the customer, the customer went away liking the wallpaper. After their departure, both were closing the shop at around 08.50 when a gray colored car stopped in front of the shop from which three persons got down and came inside the shop. Siddharth Ashatkar and the applicant came inside the shop thinking that they were customers, then one of the three persons started groping the almirah and drawer of the shop and started throwing away the goods. What happened to Siddharth Ashtkar, why are you doing this, when asked, all three told, threatening the applicant and asked him to stand aside and took the applicant’s mobile phone, then a person was pulling Siddharth Ashatkar, whom Siddharth was stopping. When all the three people grabbed Siddharth Ashatkar by force, took him out of the shop and put him in his car and drove towards Danganiya, then the applicant went to Siddharth Ashatkar’s house and told his family about the incident. On which crime number 279/23 Section 365, 364(A), 394, 120B Bhadvi was registered against unknown accused in police station DD Nagar. Offense was registered.
Under the direction of senior officials, earlier in the case accused Ankit Mishra father Avidesh Mishra age 26 years resident 44 Mishra residence Jahangir Katra Lohamandi police station Kilgate Gwalior (M.P.). Hall Address – Durga Nagar Amleshwar Police Station Amleshwar District Durg and Raj Tomar Father Late. Suresh Singh Tomar age 24 years resident of village Usaif Teh. Borsa Police Station Mahuva District Morena (M.P.). A 14/15 Krishna Nagar Police Station Gole Ka Mandir Police Station Gole Ka Mandir Gwalior (M.P.). Address – Kamal Vihar Police Station Tikrapara Raipur was arrested and the Innova vehicle used in the incident was seized from his possession. After interrogating the arrested accused in relation to the other absconding accused involved in the case, continuous raids were being carried out in every possible place of their hiding. Meanwhile, after the team members found the presence of accused Varun Tripathi and Nilesh Upadhyay involved in the incident in Mirzapur and Sonbhadra districts of Uttar Pradesh, the team members were sent to Uttar Pradesh as per the instructions of the senior officials. While tracing the accused by the team members, both the accused were caught from Mirzapur and Sonbhadra in Uttar Pradesh. During interrogation, it was told by the accused that both of them and 03 people including their other accomplice were called by Raj Tomar to Raipur by taking an Enova vehicle from Gwalior to kidnap them and on the date of the incident, all together kidnapped Siddharth Ashtkar from his father on 01 Had demanded a ransom of crores of rupees, but in the meantime, in view of the strict blockade of the police and the continuous detection of the abducted, under pressure from them, the abducted Siddharth Ashatkar escaped leaving him at Dashrangpur in Kawardha district. Both the accused Varun Tripathi and Nilesh Upadhyay were arrested and action was taken against them by seizing 02 mobile phones used in the incident from their possession. 01 other accused involved in the incident is absconding, every possible effort is being made to trace and arrest him.
