₹8,000 coupon for buying TV, fridge, washing machine: DMK’s 50th promise

Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu is scheduled to hold assembly elections on April 23rd. Chief Minister Stalin released the list of DMK candidates for the elections yesterday.

Following this, Chief Minister Stalin released the DMK’s election promises today. In the 50th promise, the Chief Minister stated that a new scheme called Homemaker will be implemented to purchase new household appliances or replace old ones.

He stated that women will receive a coupon called the Housewife Coupon worth ₹8,000 for this purpose.

Under this scheme, women who do not pay income tax can purchase washing machines, televisions, refrigerators, microwave ovens, mixers, grinders, etc., and exchange old items. He stated that they can purchase these items using the coupons from local stores.

DMK Promises

The Chief Minister’s Breakfast Scheme will be extended to the 8th grade, benefiting 1.5 million more students studying in grades 1-5.

The amount entitled to women will be increased to ₹2,000. 2000.

A classical language conference will be held in Chennai.

The Chief Minister’s Insurance Scheme will be increased to ₹10 lakh.

Women’s self-help groups will be given ₹5 lakh without any guarantee to start a business.

Disaster compensation will be increased to ₹25,000 per hectare.

Dialysis facilities will be doubled.

Sports hostels will be built in all districts.

Old-age pension will be increased from ₹1,200 to ₹2,000.

Allowance for the differently-abled will be increased to ₹2,500.

New sub-cities in Trichy, Madurai, and Coimbatore.

10,000 new buses in the next 5 years.

A Language Struggle Exhibition Hall will be built in Pollachi.

1 million houses will be built.

Steps will be taken to provide laptops to 3.5 million students.

The purchase price of milk will be increased to Rs 5 per liter.
