₹30,000 bribe proves costly; official lands behind bars in Faridabad.

HARYANA: In a major crackdown on corruption in Faridabad, a vigilance team arrested an official from HVPNL (Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited) red-handed while accepting a bribe. The official was apprehended while taking a bribe of ₹30,000.

According to reports, the Vigilance Department laid a trap and executed a planned operation after receiving a complaint. The team apprehended the official on the spot the moment he accepted the bribe money from the complainant.

Action Taken Based on Complaint

Vigilance officials stated that a complaint had been received alleging that the official was demanding a bribe. After verifying the complaint, the team set a trap and arrested the accused.

Further Investigation Underway

Following the arrest, the vigilance team is interrogating the official. Action is being taken under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Officials stated that further steps would be determined based on facts emerging during the investigation.
